Det er ofte ikke særlig fristende å gå ut når tåka ligger tung, og det er regn i lufta. Men det kan være utrolig vakkert i naturen, når det ikke er vakkert...

Våt snø henger blytungt fra trærne, og forsterker den litt "dystre" opplevelsen.

Har lyst til å presentere noen flere bilder fra "skogen min", som for meg er helt magisk når kvelden kommer og lyset forsvinner. Det er helt stille. Ingen lyd av stemmer. Ingen lyd av trafikk. Bare meg...

Advantages of the rain...

...is easy to find when photographing in the forest. The wet vegetation gives the landscape a natural "Velvia" look :) Here is a shot made this afternoon, and again it´s nothing fancy-schmancy.... Just mother nature.

Beautiful summernights

It has been raining all day, but suddenly the skies breaks up and the sun appears. Giving us a fantastic light. When this happens, just being present is enough. No fancy-schmancy editing and no blurry black and white. Just Mother Nature and her beauty. Sharp and in colour :) Enjoy!

Faces of the forest

I do a lot of photography in the forest. The forest is MY favorite place, and it´s very special to me. Almost magic. It keeps so many secrets and unveils so many surprises... every time I am there. It is the only place I know where I can seek complete peace-of-mind one day, to find it exploding in action the next. It is the perfect home for extremely many species, many of them unfortunately found on various Red-Lists.

I bet very few of you know/remember the fact that 2011 is the international year of the forest. To honor this I will use this blog to present MY forest and the life within. Enjoy :)

PS1: The "species" does not include the empty cans, bags, broken glass and toilet paper YOU leave behind in nature. Please don´t leave them behind.  

PS2: Why is this blog suddenly written in English? Well... It turns out that I have english speaking friends actually checking in here from time to time, encouraging me to do it in English. So there you go.... :)

Morgenstemning

Det er noe magisk over tidlige høstmorgener. Når de første kuldegradene kommer, og morgendisen ligger lavt over både skogsmyrer og tjern. Buldringen fra orrhanens høstspill gjør stemningen komplett. Da er det godt å være naturfotograf, ellers hadde jeg neppe stått opp kl. 06 for å få det med meg :)
Det er deilig å kjenne den kalde friske luften bite i kinnene, samtidig som de varme solstrålene bærer bud om en deilig og varm dag. Just another day in paradise....
